"This is a bit of fun that came to me while drooling over the Bush shots in the Captions section. I'm not sure about Naval timekeeping or terminology, so I'm either making it up or stealing it from Star Trek.

Librarians At Sea

by Rellan

Excerpt from ship's log. Captain Hornblower reporting.

19 May

Four bells. Fine day at sea. Steady wind. Crew in good spirits. No trouble to be had.

Eight bells. Styles reported ship bearing down fast. No foreign colors sighted.

Excerpt from ship's log. Captain Hornblower reporting.

21 May

Four bells. Can now report recent happenings. Crew and Captain stand in awe of 1st Lt. Bush. It is my intent to recommend a medal to go with his commendation.

"Sir, ship approaching," Styles said as he entered the Captain's ready room. "A fast ship."

Horatio Hornblower looked calm and considering. "Is it French or Spanish?"

"Neither sir. It''s..." Styles looked very nervous and jumpy.

"Spit it out, man," Hornblower barked.

"It's the Librarians' Lust, sir." Styles tried to stifle his sob.

"Not again." Captain Hornblower looked grim. "Best inform Mr. Bush, then."

"You don't have to go, William," Horatio said quietly. "We outgun them. Or we could make a run for it."

William Bush set his jaw in that fabulously manly way of his. "I thank you for that, sir. But I know my duty. I made a promise after they rescued us from that fiasco earlier this year. I am a man of my word. Besides, they're not so bad one at a time."

Hornblower offered his hand. "You're a good man, Mr. Bush."

Lt. Bush survey the Librarians' ship. The gleams in their eyes made him a bit uncomfortable but he forged ahead.

"Good afternoon, ladies."

Sighs and squelches of joy greeted him. He heard whispers among them. 'The queue. Oh god, the queue.' 'Hat porn!' 'He's. Wearing. Stockings.' 'I see ruffles.'

Mr. Bush cleared his throat.

One voice from the back of the crowd said, "Say it, sir. With the smirk."

Lt. Bush obliged. He tilted his head a bit to the right letting his sexy smirk out to play. He threw in some eye twinkling for free.

Several Librarians thudded on the deck in a swoon. Those made of sterner stuff braced themselves.

"Wenches Beware!"

End Flashback

Excerpt from ship's log cont.

It is the opinion of the Captain and crew that Mr. Bush is possessed of an incredible stamina and will to survive. A lesser man would have begged for mercy. From reading poetry to yelling 'Fire!' to acts we could only guess at considering the giggling, moaning and sheer number of times we heard 'Oh, god, Yes!'

Having seen first hand the havoc the Librarians can visit upon anyone stupid enough to lay even a finger of ill intent on 'their Lt. Bush', I can only surmise that these periodic visits by those fierce women are a positive thing. After a week or two of rest, Mr. Bush will be fully recovered.

At least he got to keep one of his stockings this time.

Hope this brightens your day!

True. It's one of the many reasons we love our Bushie. His bravery. And his queue, his neck, the ruffles, the curls, the stock...ings...

Sorry. What was I saying?
