Greetings to all of such good taste.

Over the years, while living in the US, I had seen Paul in several of his roles, including Lt. Bush, and during that time had thought him to be just another good looking, typically excellent British actor. BUT THEN, for the first time early this year, I saw him in the role of Eugene and became hooked, Mcganned - totally!

I am now living in Budapest (going on 5 years), and until I visit the US, I (will) only have access to Paul's films via the internet. Although, much to my surprise and delight, just last month, Hungarian TV broadcast OMF, dubbed. No matter, since I understand Hungarian, but I would have liked to take further delight in hearing the sound of Paul's voice.

Most fans seem to favor Paul sans facial hair, but I believe the mustache made Eugene appear more interesting, utterly romantic, and somewhat mysterious. He was perfectly cast as Eugene. Even when no words were spoken, Paul's facial expressions registered sorrow, amusement, sympathy, and above all, boredom. Those lovely hands, they too communicated. All this, with just one role, goes to show what an excellent actor we all admire.

I look forward to watching and learning everything old and new here at the Library.
Thank you, Estelle, for sharing all this.

Hello to you in Budapest! Smile
Welcome from me too, Pipi!

Watching OMF last year introduced me to this amazing actor. My book image of Eugene Wrayburn came to life with Paul's portrayal. He was perfection!

Hope you enjoy it here,

Welcome! So glad you found us out here! Very Happy

It's interesting what suddenly "McGanns" people - it was Lt. Bush (in case you hadn't figured that out) but I enjoy Paul doing just about anything. I know that sounds a little kinky but so be it. Razz

I was in Budapest last in 1998 - absolutely loved it. Lovely and fascinating...
