More like skinny collages than anything else.
Was just playing....

A random pic of:

Ben(Forgotten, Eugene, Tony-Afraid of the Dark, Marwood

And the Eighth Doc

What I should do, is a seafaring McGann banner or collage

Ooh! I like the top one a lot. That image of "Tony" is pretty haunting, isn't it?

Wow, Maddy, I love the first one. The Eighth Doc one is interesting, except I have other favorite pictures I'd like to see included. But, boy oh boy, you hit the mark with that first banner. And a Mcgann maritime banner would be really cool, too.

In the profile section under appearance of the forum, several styles are listed. Maybe we can have a separate banner for each style. The banner in the Men in Black style is squished over to one side. I'll see if I can get your first banner to appear with the xenon style.

Maddy, I love when you muse! Very Happy

I really like the first one a lot, too--you caught some interesting moods there. I love the 'shimmer' on Eugene--sort of works some 'impressionist' magic on it, which is very appropos to the period, isn't it? Smile

And Marwood. I think I can actually hear strains of A Whiter Shade of Pale coming from somewhere. Surprised Who'da thought coming down off speed could look so sexy... *THUD*

I think a banner for every forum style is a fantastic idea! And a maritime banner would be beautiful, too--go for it!

In fact, I wouldn't mind having an entire banner devoted to Eugene, actually. He was so wonderful.

Sounds good Estelle, for the different settings.
I haven't experimented with my settings yet to see what they are.

I thought go sparse without cramming in images. Let the SPACE do the talking. And less is more kind of thing. They look so DARK here! Moody.

History repeats itself, but the special call of an art which has passed away is never reproduced.
It is as utterly gone out of the world as the song of a destroyed wild bird.-J. Conrad

Your ship is a tender creature, whose idiosyncrasies must be attended to if you mean her to come with credit to herself and you through the rough-and-tumble of her life. You must treat with an understanding consideration the mysteries of her feminine nature, You must make her easy in a seaway, you must never forget that you owe her the fullest share of your thought, of your skill, of your self-love. If you remember that obligation, naturally and without effort, she will sail, stay, run for you as long as she is able, or, like a sea-bird going to rest upon the angry waves, she will lay out the heaviest gale that ever made you doubt living long enough to see another sunrise.-Joseph Conrad
