http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbc7/listenagain/sunday/

BBC-7 Radio is currently broadcasting Storm Warning on Sundays at 6pm. This link will take you to the Listen Again feature so you can enjoy this Doctor Who adventure. I like this one since it introduces Charley to us Whovians.

Hopefully there will be more to follow!

Thanks for the link, Maria! I'm going to see if I can download this one.
I wish I'd done that with Paul's introductions, because now they're gone.
Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad They were such fun to listen to. I'm planning on downloading
"Dying Days" tomorrow when I get new ink cartridges in. I hope they
don't take that away before then! Humph!

You're welcome Catherine! I just had to share the site, my love for #8 grows everyday. Wink Let me know if you were able to download this.

BTW, what's Dying Days?

Technically, it's The Dying Days, and it's the last of the Virgin New Adventures series, which was also the first book for the Eighth Doctor. The BBC series igores it completely (which is a shame, because The Eight Doctors really isn't that great a book). TDD is the first Eight novel I read this summer, in PDF form (which I'm assuming is legal since the book is up on the BBC website as a free eBook--not sure how the PDF came to be, but it's a great way to read it). The book is by Lance Parkin and is absolutely fabulous--the characterization is spot on. And it has the Brigadier, which always makes me smile.

Really, I've only read six of the Eighth Doctor books so far, but TDD is right up there as one of my favorites.

Thanks Saphira!

I found it on the BBC website. Looks pretty good. Definitely going to save this one. I haven't read any of the books. Are they like some of the Star Trek ones, some really good and others needlessly wiped out forests?

Some nice rainy day reading.....like today!

Hmm. I liked "The Eight Doctors". But I can't wait to read "The
Dying Days". I printed it out last night. I took most of a ream of
paper and nearly two ink cartridges! But from the bits I glanced
at, it seems very good!

IMO, it seems the BBC ignores just about everything "Eighth Doctor".
They've been in the doghouse with me for quite a while. I'm not
sure I'll ever let them out. Hmph! I've stayed by him for ten years
now, and my love just gets stronger every day. I can't understand
why the BBC seems to hate him, and his fans, so much. Confused Weird.

Maria, I'll let you about "Storm Warning". I'm looking forward to that
as well.

Thanks Catherine! I already have it on CD, but I don't have every Eight Big Finish Adventure, I'm always looking to save a few $$$$, like everyone else! Laughing

The Eight Doctors is okay. I think that it didn't live up to a lot of peoples' expectations for the BBC series, which were, understandably, pretty high after The Dying Days was so good. (There's a very interesting Novel Rankings page for all the EDAs, if you're curious--TED is third from the bottom of the list :-\ )

I really loved it. I'd be surprised if you don't enjoy it. Can't believe you printed it--I read it on the computer, even though that's sort of annoying, because ink is so damned expensive!

Really? I hadn't noticed, but that may be because I tend to get distracted by all the other DW stuff on their site. I suppose part of the problem is that there's less source material, as we all know Sad But they did give him 74 books of his own, which is more than any of the other Doctors (not counting the New Adventures that Seven got, since they're not BBC). I'm just glad they did something to give us some real Eight canon, between the books and the Big Finish audios.
