Finally got my luggage back -- and with it, my camera. Lots of things I'm going to put up photos of on my site eventually ... but thought I'd share these with you.

On my last day in England, three of us hiked up to Sleddale Hall (i.e., Crow Crag) to have a look around. If you ever have a chance to do this, do! For one thing, the landscape is gorgeous ... for another, it's amazing to walk in and see the remains of campsites where fans have stayed, and the doors covered with names and dates and movie quotes. (I got photos of those, too, but one thing at a time.)

Here are some photos of the more recognizable spots we visited ... and, as I was feeling clever, I put screenshots in them.

And just a nice shot I got as the sun was setting ...

I'll try to get pics of the doors and things up soon!

Thank you so much for posting these great photos--and I love the inserted screencaps, too. I look forward to seeing more, when you get a chance to put them up. Very Happy

You're braver than I am about cameras--I always carry mine on the plane with me.

This past August my husband and his sister drove through the Lake District on their way to catch an overnight ferry to the Isle of Man. However, they didn't get to see much since it was dark.

Well, I hadn't intended to leave my camera in my luggage. It occurred to me after it was out of my hands ... I was kicking myself the whole way home.

Funnily, we were joking about tying plastic bags to our feet for the hike ... then found ourselves wishing we had. It had rained not long before, then frosted over. So we were walking off the path to avoid frozen puddles, and I ended up standing on a layer of frozen mud at one point and going through it ... ended up knee-deep in the stuff. The whole way up, we kept going, 'I can't believe they got actors and a camera crew up here.'

Yes, please do! Having gone so recently, I'd love to hear more while the experience is fresh in my mind.

I do regret not taking a little video while I was up there, though -- since my camera takes it.
