Hi Cat,

I re-edited the link on the site as i'd put it in wrongly - that's what comes of doing updates late at night! Should be working fine now though. Fiddler tonight was amazing, the best one yet!

Unfortunately I missed out on Invasion 2008, unlike Michelle who is a very lucky lady indeed!

I did have a fantastic time at Fiddler On The Roof on Saturday evening though! Joe is totally AWESOME as Tevye Wink Can't wait to see him and the show again next month.

Joe is touring with Fiddler, playing Tevye, and is absolutely wonderful. He will be doing the tour for 10 months and was interviewed for central televison last week.

I have to say I was touched that Sam and I got a mention!

He sent me a photo in the week so that will go up with the review too.

Thank you very much for posting the link to Joe's interview, Michelle!! Hmm, if he'll be on tour for the next ten months, then I'll probably be able to see him in October when I go to Stratford-on-Avon with my son Patrick to see David Tennant in Hamlet and Love's Labour's Lost.

It was so cool that Joe acknowledged you and Sam for doing the website!! Very Happy

This was fun report to read and I love all the pictures - thanks Estelle for putting it up here!

I love Paul's comment when he first met his doll! Laughing

I'm also thinking about the lack of TVs in McGann houses - in Paul's case, maybe he's tired of hearing himself in every other commercial! That would have to be rather weird. Shocked

I will be adding more photos and info to this but am pretty busy with Fiddler stuff at the minute - Joe's doing a lot of interviews etc and the reveiws are coming in regularly from each new town/city where he plays. The tour finishes in Ireland on 29th September i think.

If any of you get the opportunity to go I'd recommend it. I've seen the show four times and have booked my next two lots of tickets - it's wonderful, and Joe is amazing in this role.

It really sounds like he enjoys himself at these events. Thank you for posting your review Michelle.

Well, if we could shove the UK a bit closer to the U.S., I'd be there!

Wow, thanks for all the reports, links and piccies!
I especially loved the photo Paul in his own old fashioned car!
It must be awesome to be on such a great convention, or?

Certainly everyone who goes to these events enjoys themselves Akka. They are a good way to meet others with similar interests and, more importantly for most people, to meet certain actors/actresses.

I used to attend the Beatles Conventions in Liverpool some years ago - Paul and Mark sang a few times at those, which was great Very Happy

For me, the Doctor Who cons wouldn't be an attraction if I didn't go with Paul. As i'm not particularly a fan then there is no-one I would want to get an autograph of or pictures etc and I wouldn't queue up for ages just to spend 2 minutes with Paul - lovely as he is!

I hope you get to attend one of these things some time though.

I wish Paul would come to Chicago TARDIS. It's halfway across the country, but it's a bit more reasonable than going to Cali or another country. Also a friend of mine is press and I work with him sometimes when he need a second person to pick up the slack.

But I dunno what CT is like ... I just know what Visions before it was like, because a lot of my friends like to alienate me by talking about the 'good ol' days' and I'm 'just too young.'

But that's a totally unrelated pet peeve. Embarassed

At the last Gally Jason Haigh-Ellery said he would talk to Gene Smith about inviting Paul to the next CT, which already has Colin Baker onboard. I've been told that Visions was a much bigger con than CT, even though a lot of the same folks work on CT.

I heard Colin was rather upset that the staff/guest party became an 'ice cream social' (in cold weather!) one year because the hotel didn't want alcohol there.

'Well, if I can't get DRUNK, I might as well get FAT!'
