It kind of crept up on me...
I watched the last four Hornblower movies & I didn't think about him much of him at first, then noticed days later that I was thinking about the way he places his voice for yelling those orders on deck. Then I realized I was contemplating his fine bearing on deck... Then I saw some younger photos of him on Horatians, and I said to myself "Hm. Gosh. He's actually beautiful." I thought I'd check out Withnail and I, which was good and my gosh! Well, I don't have to tell you people, you clearly already know.

I know my ship is sinking, sinking when I start thinking about the various parts...I don't mean roles, I mean eyes, nose.... uh...He pretty much reduces me to just making (writing) random outbursts like "WAAHK!" I feel I could go on and on but I won't. But CRIPES he's gorgeous! I mean - that mouth! I have to say it feels pretty cool to be gushing what is for me a more age-appropriate fellah. He's a honey when young, but present-day - RrRowf! He's a man dangit!

There's alot of reasons to adore him just from Hornblower alone, but I am looking forward to the rest of the McGann universe. It looks like its hard to get hold of, especially audio. Must find a book on tape. The big question: what to watch next and where to get an audiobook?

Signing off before my gush runneth over! Very Happy
Thanks!
I sure have enjoyed your picture galleries here.

Yes yes, welcome :] I'm afraid I can't relate to the age-appropriate-ness, since Paul is.......32 years my senior. 100% with you on the gushing though, haha. Gushing is great fun, I'm glad you've discovered it.

ROFL! You are in excellent company AE and I'd say most of us have exactly the same reaction to him still! There is just none other like him, is there? And believe me, it only gets more intense as you discover more about him. So glad you could join us!!
