It's coming up in May, I would have thought they would list someone soon. I'm hoping, of course, it's The Paul.

I'd be there. I think. If taxes don't eat me alive this year.

Me, too. I'm not attending Gallifrey this year because it starts on my wedding anniversary. The New York con, however, begins on my birthday, and I'm thinking it would be a nice present to myself (self-indulgent, I know). Anyway, I can also visit my son and sister-in-law (and Patrick might even attend the con, since he and his fiancee liked ChicagoTARDIS).

I hope, if Paul decides to go, they don't wait too late to announce it. I have to make work arrangements in addition to travel arrangements.

Can you email the organisers as to when they will announce guests?

Could, but don't think they'll answer that any faster than posting on the Web. Also, third guest for the Alaskan DW cruise is unannounced (the other 2 are Sylvester McCoy and Daphne Ashbrook and they are taking a tour of the DW TVM location in Vancouver). I doubt Paul will do it, but that would be a fun cruise.

Has anyone heard anything more about the New York TARDIS? There's STILL nothing at the website or on the FB page. I tried the '800' number and couldn't get through. Anyone else have any better luck? This is so weird. It's only 2 1/2 months away.

It's a first-year con, regardless of who's running it, so it's gonna be run a) down to the wire and b) fast and loose otherwise. My guess is they're going to have mostly fan-guests (and then predominantly American) this year.

I look forward to being proved wrong, but the first year for any con tends to be kind of meh.

I sort of doubt it will happen in May. Even though it's the same people who do Chicago TARDIS, lining up a hotel, securing guests and hotel contracts, AND having enough time to appropriately market it to get attendees...I don't think they will have time. Last I heard, Paul was very interested, but that may change if the date changes.

If they pull it together by May, I'm going to fly up there no matter who the guests are just to have Miracle Convention Mojo rub off on me before I work my two summer cons. Because that would be unbelievable.

Taxes are eating me alive this year so no trips for me! Other than Hornblower, of course - that one is just a "must do" regardless! But just to stick my oar in, I somehow kind of doubt that Paul would make two trips to the U.S. that close together, especially for a newbie con that is just getting started, regardless of his momentary enthusiasm in November. :/

I was looking forward to this NY con, mainly as an excuse to go the NY. I think Paul would attend this newbie if the price were right.

It's done by the same people who do Chicago TARDIS, but I suspect there's just not enough time to pull it off for May now.

Fingers crossed for next year. I'm tempted to write and ask if they'll end up arranging a mailing list I could hop on to keep posted.
